Throughout the year amazing people step forward and do some unbelievable things for the Trust:
China Trek Challenge: A team of eight brave adventurers swapped the UK weather for China, as they trekked the Great Wall to raise money for the Trust. Team Leader Tony Bury said “Me and the team have been firm supporters of the Trust over the last few years, with different challenges. This one is going to take some beating!!!”
Mini Mudder: It was mud, sweat and tears for our group of youngest fundraisers as they took on the infamous “Mini Tough Mudder ” at Belvior Castle in Leciestershire. Millie aged 14 said “Amazing to climb and jump over the obstacles and raise money for the sick children”.
Best foot forward: The Trust helped support Lisa with a new car seat for her son and we were blown away when in return, she and a group of friends decided to run the Birmingham Half Marathon to raise money for the Trust. Lisa said “The car seat has made such a difference to our family and I just wanted to give something back to this amazing cause.”
Fire Fighter Sporting Challenges: Over the last two years members of the West Midlands Fire Service have staged a number of sporting challenge nights for the Trust. Warren Davies, Station Commander said “The Trust does some amazing work with disadvantaged children and we are only too pleased to lend our weight to this amazing cause.
Unity Foundation: The Trust is proud to work in partnership with the Unity Foundation, a young person’s youth project in Staffordshire. The foundations beneficiaries have been raising funds for the Trust. Will Sherratt Unity Director said “It is a natural link between ourselves and the Trust, our students are only too glad to put back”
3,2,1 Go: A team of amazing runners from parcel firm Doddle have stepped out to run their local 10Km for the Trust. Nathan from Doddle said “We really love this event it gets all the team going and provides me extra competition as I take on my twin brother and helping to change the lives of children in the process.
